Reception

We learnt about about Guy Fawkes.

We mage super firework display pictures.

We found out all about Remembrance Day. We made our own poppy field.

We are so clever.

Year 1

We pretended we were Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale.

We had a visit from the History Van we found out all about Florence Nightingale.

We looked at artefacts from the time.

Florence Nightingale tried to make her own medicine from herbs.

Florence cleaned Scutari hospital and taught nurses how to look after people.

We had so much fun.

Year 2

We found out about toys from the past.

We have discovered all about the Gun Powder Plot.

We wrote super facts all about Guy Fawkes.

Mary Seacole was very interested to learn about.

We wrote letters asking for supplies.

We are so clever look at what we know about Florence Nightingale.

Year 3 and 4

To start our new topic Anglo Saxons we had a class dig.

The class was filled with hay and hessian.

The children had to be archaeologists and carefully look for pieces of artefacts.

We had so much fun, we liked working as a team.

Once we had found all the missing artefact pieces we put them together.

We wrote about what our artefact could be and who could have used it.

We really enjoyed our class dig!

Mount Cook Trip

We found out all about Viking Runes.

We found messages and decoded the secret message.

We like working together.

The message was from Odin.

We went on an adventure.

What had an adventure.

We did a real dig looking for Viking artefacts.

We found bones and ceramic pots.

We played a game called Kubb.

The Vikings used skulls and bones.

We dressed up as a Viking.

We tried on Chain mail, it was so heavy.

What a super day we had.
